The Isom IGA is a locally owned retail grocery store. The business was first established in 1973 in the city of Isom which is located on the lower end of Letcher County. The Isom IGA has 31 local employee's who strive to provide the best quality and customer service to the entire community. The grocery store is combined of 6 main departments. These departments include grocery, produce, bakery/deli, meat, dairy, frozen food, and dining area. The Isom Iga has a full time butcher to cut and grind fresh meat daily with top brands including Preffered Angus Beef, Hormel, and Springer Chicken.The bakery deli provides breakfast and lunch daily on the hot bar as well as a full time cake decorator and catering services. The grocery store also has many signature items that are made in house such as cole slaw, hot dog chili, banana pudding, Hunt Brothers Pizza, rotisserie chickens, along with different smoked meats. The Isom IGA also tries to help customers shop at an affordable price with in-store promotions. These promotions include App-Card which is a digital coupon based system that allows customers to put their telephone numbers in at the resgister to build points and save money on advertised items. Wednesday's and Saturday's anyone over the age of 55 will recieve a senior citizen discount that saves 5% on their order. The store also provides a curbside service. This allows customers the ease of shopping without having to go into the store. Customers are able to call or email their order and pickup in a quick and timely manner. The Isom IGA is located in the Isom shopping plaza 29 Isom Plaza, Isom KY 41824. Business hours are Mon-Fri 7:00am to 9:00pm Sun 10:00am to 9:00pm.
